Terms of Service
1. Service Description
MY Yacht Crew ("the platform") is a free online job board connecting superyacht crew with employers. The platform is operated by MY Yacht ("we", "us", "our"). Access is provided free of charge to both crew members and employers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
3. Crew Accounts
As a crew member you may:
- Create a profile and upload your CV and professional documents
- Apply for job listings posted by verified employers
- Save job listings for later review
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time
Your profile is private by default. Employers see it when you apply to their job. You can also choose to be listed in a crew search that only employers we have verified can use. Being listed is off by default and you can switch it off at any time.
4. Employer Accounts
Employers must request access and pass manual verification before posting jobs. By posting a job listing you confirm:
- You are authorised to recruit on behalf of the yacht or company named
- The role described is genuine and currently open
- You will handle candidate data in compliance with applicable data protection law (GDPR and equivalents)
- You will not use candidate contact details for any purpose other than the recruitment process
Job listings expire after 30 days and can be renewed by the posting employer. We reserve the right to remove any listing that is misleading, offensive, or in breach of these terms.
5. Prohibited Use
You must not:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
- Collect or harvest personal data from other users
- Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages
- Attempt to circumvent our security measures or access data you are not authorised to view
- Use automated tools to scrape or mass-download content
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this platform, including design, code, and original text, is owned by MY Yacht. Job descriptions are owned by the respective employers. Your CV and personal documents remain your property.
7. Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the GDPR.
8. Limitation of Liability
MY Yacht Crew is a neutral intermediary. We do not screen candidates beyond basic verification, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of job listings or the suitability of any candidate for any role. We are not liable for any loss arising from employment decisions made through the platform.
The platform is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it will be available continuously or free of errors.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that breaches these terms, without notice. You may close your account at any time from the Profile tab in your account settings.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will tell registered users by email before material changes take effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can close your account at any time.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you use the platform as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
